Riza Brenner |
Riza Brenner (リザ・ブレンナー, Riza Burennaa?) is the attractive looking nun that is in charge of running Suwahara City's Church, inside of which she lives. She is Rea Himuro's caretaker, and acts as a motherly figure to her, and seems to have a past with Father Trifa. Despite what her extremely kind, and even teasing and playful, disposition would suggest, she's actually a member of the Longinus Dreizehn Orden, occupying Seat XI of the Black Round Table and answering to the Demon Name of Babylon Magdalena: Great Mother (大淫婦, Dai Inpu?).
Appearance[]
Riza is a beautiful woman with silver hair and gray eyes. She has shapely figure and possesses a mole underneath her left eye.
Personality[]
Riza is a motherly woman who treats everyone kindly.
Relationships[]
While she typically acts kind and motherly towards Rea, she secretly gold's a great hatred for her for being Isaak's granddaughter. This is despite that fact that she raised Rea as her own child. Because of this hatred, she has no issue sacrificing her in the transmutation of gold.
Soon his birth, the first emotion Riza felt towards her son was fear due to his rapid aging. Soon recognizing his resemblance to Reinhard, that fear turned to hatred. She has never given him any love or affection and had no issue sacrificing him in the first Transmutation of Gold.
Riza possesses a great fear and hatred of Reinhard. This hatred is so intense that it is projected on Isaak for his resemblance to Reinhard and Rea for being Isaak's granddaughter.
She was kind enough to welcome Ren and kasumi into their church for dinner and she gave him some advice. She told him that instead of flattering her with comments about her cooking skills being better than kasumi that he should focus on someone close to him in age and she introduced him to Rea Himuro and she told him her birthday.
Story[]
Before Dies Irae[]
Riza originally a member of Lebensborn, a German government program specializing in eugenics. While the experiments were successful in that the children of the program we're blessed with superhuman abilities, it was a failure in that the children's body could not handle the stress of those abilities, leading the the deaths of nearly every child, something Riza blames herself for.
She joined the LDO with the intent of bringing those children that she failed back to life. Riza greatly feared and hated Reinhard, despite this, she was made to bare him a child which he could use to ascend during the first Transmutation of Gold.
Riza eventually bore him a pair of twin sons, Isaak and Johan. However, moments after his birth, Isaak near instantly grew to adolescence, terrifying Riza. Noting Isaak's resemblance to his father, Riza began to hate him as well, giving him up to Reinhard to be sacrificed. However, seeing as Johan was seemingly a normal child, and Reinhard only needed one, Riza took steps to hide Johan's existence not only from Reinhard, but the rest of the LDO, as well as make sure that he had a completely normal life.
Dies Irae[]
Riza acted as Rea's foster mother, raising her and preparing her for her role in the second Transmutation of gold along with Valeria Trifa.
Kasumi Route[]
Riza and Kei assaulted The Bottomless Pit to open Swastika. She used Tubal Cain to fight against Ren Fuji. She was killed by Trifa after the battle when he ripped her heart and brought it to the site of a Swastika to open it.
Kei Route[]
Riza and Kei assaulted The Bottomless Pit to open Swastika. She used Tubal Cain to fought against Ren Fuji. She was killed by Eleonore after the battle when Rubedo manifested in Shambala, and her death was used to fuel the Swastika in the Amusement Park.
Marie route[]
Riza came to Honjou Hospital along with Kei. While Kei fought against Ren, she confronted with Trifa and came into a opposition about Sonnekind. While Trifa wanted to protect Rea, Riza wanted to secure her only "accomplishment" that she was be able to let Jonaan (and his descendant) out of their affair. Before they can start a battle, Eleonore Von Wittenburg, one of the Three Battalion arrived to open to fifth Swastika. Riza decided to confront her, sacrificed her life in process, saving Ren and Kei.
Rea Route[]
Riza confronts Eleonore in Gladsheim, which leads to her death.

While Riza doesn't not appear, her reincarnation, Tenma Momiji is part of the Yatsukahagi.
