Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich (ラインハルト・トリスタン・オイゲン・ハイドリヒ, Rainharuto Torisutan Oigen Haidorihi), also called by his Demon Name, Mephistopheles (メフィストフェレス, Mefisutoferesu), is the leader of the Longinus Dreizehn Orden and the main antagonist in Dies Irae. He occupies the seat I in the Obsidian Round Table.
Appearance[]
Reinhard is a tall man with long blonde hair and golden eyes. Prior to his awakening, his hair was considerably shorter and his eyes were dark blue.

Personality[]
Reinhard, before becoming the man he is in 2006, was a man with virtually no emotions who saw no joy or color in life. Everything he does he accomplishes perfectly without any effort, so nothing brings him challenge or joy. In life, Reinhard was a cold and rather emotionless individual, even named "The Man with the Iron Heart" by Hitler himself. Reinhard was filled with a Craving for something, though nothing he did could bring him satisfaction, leading to his living an empty existence.
As a child, he was known for being shy and insecure.
After long periods of talking to Mercurius, and after his awakening, Reinhard changed forever. He became a highly philosophical man, with a great love for decorum, reflections, and meditations, but also addicted to combat, with his main objective being to find an opponent capable of fighting against him on equal terms.
Reinhard became more outgoing and charismatic, becoming filled with a powerful desire to destroy all things, for he loves everything.
He is a man of his word and deeply respects his opponents. If he promises something to somebody, he will follow through with said promise, as long as they follow through with their side of the bargain.

Reinhard loves the world and all its inhabitants, but at its core, love is indistinguishable from destruction, which makes him see the act of destroying the universe and everything that exists as the greatest act of love in his life.
Reinhard values loyalty, honor and freedom, with his ultimate goal being to end destiny, so that all experiences become new, for him and for everyone. Because of the echoes of past timelines, Reinhard often has the feeling that everything he does in life has been accomplished before; this is one of the biggest reasons for his journey to end destiny and to experience the unknown.

His source God and sworn friend. Reinhard is the only member of the Round Table who does not hate him.
Despite Isaak being his son, Reinhard has never acknowledged him as such, claiming that Isaak is an abomination and that he does not know who the boy's father is. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, he shares the same impartial love with Isaak that he holds for the rest of the world.
Before Dies Irae[]
Reinhard was born as the Apoptosis of the Mercurial Snake. As such, from birth, he possessed a soul of extremely high quality, giving him superhuman abilities. Due to possessing the Sense of Foreknowledge, he was naturally talented at everything he did, and, from a young age, he had to deliberately hold himself back to avoid breaking things. He would eventually become a high ranking soldier in Nazi Germany.
After Karl Kraft successfully predicted an assassination attempt on Hitler, Reinhard was called in to help interrogate him. Reinhard took an interest in the man, deciding to take him into his custody.
Some time later, Reinhard was called to break up a fight between Eleonore von Wittenburg, Beatrice Waltrud von Kircheisen, Wolfgang Schreiber, and Wilhelm Ehrenburg. At Karl's urging, Reinhard decided to stop holding himself back, easily defeating all four of the fighters and becoming fully aware of his sense of foreknowledge.
Following this, Reinhard and Karl formed the Longinus Dreizehn Orden. Eventually, seeing that he could no longer continue his quest for Godhood while in the German Army, Reinhard faked his death.
The Longinus Dreizehn Orden attempted to grant Reinhard Godhood through the first Transmutation of Gold during the burning of Berlin, however, it was a failure, and while his soul did ascend to Gladsheimr, his physical body remained on earth.

Reinhard briefly manifested before Ren after he was beaten by Valeria Trifa. Ren was able to escape with Shirou Yusa before any fight broke out. He then commanded Trifa to utilize Tubal Cain.

Before the start of the game, Hajun reaches the Throne. He kills Marie and Mercurius, whose deaths cause Reinhard, through Apoptosis, to stop existing.

Reinhard, along with the other Hegemony Gods, are revived by Naraka for a mysterious purpose.
Abilities[]
Apoptosis[]
As with the Apoptosis of Mercurius, all the action Reinhard takes will lead to the eventual destruction of Omega Ewigkeit, which is the main goal of Longinus Dreizehn Orden. This gives him immense superhuman strength, even before becoming an Apostle. He killed Wilhelm and Schreiber with a single blow without any difficulty. His status as God's Self Destructive Factor allows him to bypass the difference in strength between him and Mercurius alone. He also possessed immortality of a sort, as long as Mercurius cannot fulfill his desire to die, Reinhard will continue to exist.
Sense of Foreknowledge[]
Reinhard possesses the Sense of Foreknowledge as by product to his initmate connection with Mercurius. Because of this, he has never felt a sense of accomplishment despite his achievements. Due to being plagued by the feeling of deja vu, he seeks to end the Ghetto of Eternal Foreknowledge.
Die Ewigkeit[]
The amount of soul in Reinhard's legion far surpasses any of the Longinus Dreizehn Orden members. His very own flesh became the Holy Relic, Heilige Eohl, imbued with impregnable defense and other mechanisms such as anti-physical, anti-magical, anti-temporal, and anti-accident.
His soul only still possesses immense power, even as a shadow, he can effortlessly crush Margueritte-Bois de Justice and separate Ren Fujii and Marie apart from each other.

- Reinhard Heydrich was an actual high ranking officer in Nazi Germany.
- Mephistopheles was a demon appearing in the story Faust.
- The man who summons Mephistopheles is based on Johaan George Faust, one of Mercurius's Sensories. This relates back to their relationship with one another.
- A fair amount of Reinhard's abilities seem to be based off of Nordic Mythology, with Reinhard being Odin.
- Longinuslanze Testament is similar to Odin's legendary Spear, Gungnir.
- Gladsheimr is the realm in Asgard where Odin's hall of Valhalla is located.
- Dies Irae translates to "Day of Wrath", which is another title for Ragnarok.
